    ResrouceMFG Search Group is looking for a Payroll Manager in the Buellton, CA area.  This position is at a GROWING company, COMPETITIVE pay and OPPORTUNITY for advancement!


    • -          Process payroll bi-weekly
    • -          Ensure payroll information is being maintained and accurately updated by collecting and calculating figured based on data provided
    • -          Responsible for updating the following records; changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles, taxes, department transfers, etc.
    • -          Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and non-taxable wages
    • -          Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer’s social security, unemployment, and workers comp payments
    • -          Identifies and resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
    • -          Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
    • -          Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures and reports any changes that may occur
    • -          Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
    • -          Prepares employment verification letters as requested
    • -          Process adjustments to quarter and year-end payroll tax filings
    • -          Maintain accuracy of annual W2 processes
    • -          Calculate and process commissions
    • -          Process garnishment
    • -          May work on other projects as it relates to the accounting department


    • -          Strong Math and Analytical Skills
    • -          Strong Data Entry Skills
    • -          Attention to Detail
    • -          Experience managing payroll
    • -          Experience with Quickbooks is a HUGE plus
    • -          Must be Proficient in Excel
    • -          Excellent written and verbal communications
    • -          Bilingual in Spanish is a HUGE plus, but not required

    Job Description


    Payroll for 500 employees across 10 states.

    • Oversee the integrity of all payroll data input into payroll systems. 
    • Review timecards in timekeeping system for accuracy, process changes to employee information, download timecard data into Paylocity, audit batch information and ensure timely execution of data for processing. 
    • Troubleshot problems with Paylocity
    • Ensure accuracy of all system generated direct deposits and checks, including final termination pay, accrued vacation, etc. 
    • Manage quarterly and year end process
    • Up to date on Federal and State wage and hour laws.


    • Help with the development and roll out of programs and initiatives that make NALS a fun and amazing place to work. 
    • Be a part of the new hire orientation, helping build a strong foundation for new employees and increase employee engagement.
    • Administer and monitor the performance evaluation program
    • Assist head of HR with various projects



    • Fluency in English and Spanish required
    • Minimum of 2 years of Payroll and HR experience
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
    • Strong initiative and attention to detail
    • Positive customer service and strong people skills
    • Excellent time management
    • BA/BS degree strongly preferred
