    Full-Charge Bookkeeper

    We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic bookkeeper with extensive QuickBooks and accounting knowledge to join our growing Client Accounting Services team. This person will be responsible for performing financial reporting for various entities and staying current on technological solutions, as well as providing excellent customer service.

    Job Functions:

    • Preparation of financial statements and cash flow statements
    • Generate payroll, payroll tax returns and sales tax returns for various clients
    • Maintains an accounting cycle independently
    • Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and partners
    • Maintain an orderly record of documents/reports in an online accounting filing system
    • Generate 1099s and W-2s

    Qualifications:

    This is a full-time position. It is desired that the candidate have an Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience (minimum of five years experience), as well as a knowledge of bookkeeping and GAAP. QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience is preferred. Candidate must enjoy working in a team environment and have the ability to interact with a variety of clients in a professional and courteous manner. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail is a must.

    Job Description

    PAYROLL

    Payroll for 500 employees across 10 states.

    • Oversee the integrity of all payroll data input into payroll systems. 
    • Review timecards in timekeeping system for accuracy, process changes to employee information, download timecard data into Paylocity, audit batch information and ensure timely execution of data for processing. 
    • Troubleshot problems with Paylocity
    • Ensure accuracy of all system generated direct deposits and checks, including final termination pay, accrued vacation, etc. 
    • Manage quarterly and year end process
    • Up to date on Federal and State wage and hour laws.

    HR

    • Help with the development and roll out of programs and initiatives that make NALS a fun and amazing place to work. 
    • Be a part of the new hire orientation, helping build a strong foundation for new employees and increase employee engagement.
    • Administer and monitor the performance evaluation program
    • Assist head of HR with various projects

     

    Qualifications

    • Fluency in English and Spanish required
    • Minimum of 2 years of Payroll and HR experience
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
    • Strong initiative and attention to detail
    • Positive customer service and strong people skills
    • Excellent time management
    • BA/BS degree strongly preferred
